Willow Bourn Farms Artisan Small Batch Preserves are made with the finest local ingredients. Maintaining our mission of sustainable agriculture, we endeavor to waste as little produce as possible. When we have leftover fruits and vegetables from market, instead of composting or trying to sell less than farm fresh produce, we have created a line of small batch jams, jellies, and preserves.
All preserves are unique, as the growing season is also unique. One year we may be blessed with an abundance of berries, and the next an abundance of peaches. Since there may not always be enough of one fruit to make a plain strawberry jam, creativity comes in to play. For example, Strawberry Peach jam, Peachy Plum Butter, or one of our customer favorites is our Cherry Vanilla Jam (made with Martinsburg, WV Rainier cherries) and Summer Buejito© Jam (Not enough blueberries to sell, but enough to make some delicious jam utilizing our very own mint).
Although most of our preserves are one of a kind, they may reappear, as do the seasons the following year and gives us all something to look forward to the next market season.
We do have a selection of permanent favorites such as Blackberry and Strawberry Jam, made with our very own Willow Bourn Farm berries, Apple Pie Jam, Elderberry jelly, Old Fashioned Apple Butter and a few other preserves that are always in the works. Always local and always fresh, and always a treat. When we say local, it is from our farm, a neighbor’s orchard, or a farm friend down the road. To us, sustainable agriculture is our community and how we, as farmers, support our local agricultural community.
