GROWING FOR OUR FUTURE
ENVIRONMENTALLY FOCUSED SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
Located in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, Willow Bourn Farms endeavors to provide quality produce, poultry and other agricultural goods. We strive to use good growing practices, biodiversity, and permaculture, to insure a more sustainable farming model.
Beginning in 2020, Kathryn and Benjamin Incorporated their small West Virginia farm of almost six acres, with a mission to help promote strong community support through sustainable agriculture. The couple intends to utilize their skills as artists, educators, and agro enthusiasts to work with federal, state, and local agencies, to help promote better nutrition for our community. In addition to producing quality produce for the Martinsburg area, Willow Bourn Farms runs and operates the Martinsburg Farmers Market at the Historic Martinsburg Roundhouse. Kathryn and Ben are avid supporters of small farms and encourage small farms to bring their products to sell at the market. As manager of the Farmers Market, Kathryn has a vision of a community based urban agribusiness that incubates small businesses and encourages collaboration, friendly competition, peer support, mentoring, and community investment. By incorporating traditional crafts, entertainment, activities, bakers, and other emerging local businesses to the market, customers are ensured a variety of products to choose from every weekend.
